LEAP (Learning Extensions & Play)

LEAP is a unique program provided by Stepping Stones Children’s Center within each of our School Age programs in Seneca Valley. It is offered to children who are currently enrolled in kindergarten, and we offer both morning and afternoon sessions.

Our LEAP teachers are highly qualified, certified elementary teachers who create and implement engaging, child-centered and developmentally appropriate thematic lesson plans each week based on Pennsylvania’s State Standards. Our program offers a unique and flexible curriculum that combines the districts curriculum with engaging play based lesson. These activities include: reading, writing, math, science, social studies, gross and fine motor, foreign languages, art, music, dance, dramatic play, socialization, and problem solving.

“Stepping Stones has been a wonder for my boys. Both of my boys have been in Stepping Stones from 4 months old to now the Kindergarten LEAP Program. Both of my boys have thrived in a caring environment where they’ve been given a great basis of learning, wonderful socialization and fun. The staff go out of their way to make parents feel comfortable with their kid’s experiences. I recommend Stepping Stones programs to anyone looking.”

“We started sending our son to Stepping Stones when he was only 3 months of age, and though we were anxious, we need not have worried! The staff were so kind, nurturing and attentive to his needs. He’s now been going to Stepping Stones for over two years, and it’s been remarkable to see how much he enjoys and learns from his time there! We couldn’t be happier.”

“I am so happy with the progress my children are making at Stepping Stones. They learn so much and get great social interaction. We are so glad to be a part of the Stepping Stones family!”

“When we moved to SVSD a few years ago, it was during the school year. Moving from a district with all day kindergarten to half day made it necessary to find something to fill the void. There happened to be an opening a few days a week for afternoon LEAP and after school care at our elementary school. The teachers were fantastic and our daughter learned so much in the LEAP program. We also loved the fact that she got to stay in the building and we didn't have to worry about her being transported elsewhere for care. We also utilize the summer camp which she really enjoys! They do a great job planning and keeping the kids active! Every single staff member has been so kind and caring towards not only our child, but us as well. We have been a part of Stepping Stones for 3 years now and we couldn't be happier with our experience!”
