what documents are needed for registration?

A completed online registration form, current health assessment, and your payment information.

Completed Online Registration From:
  • Child Information- Please include your child’s name, birthday, allergies, medications and any special needs. In this section, you will also be able to check the days of care needed.
  • Guardians- In this section, list the name, address, phone number and email address of the child’s guardians/parents.
  • Emergency Contacts- In this section, list the name, address and phone number of any addition emergency contacts (aunts, babysitters, grandparents etc.) *You do not have to add parents/guardians into this section. 
  • Other Information- You will need to  list the name, address, and phone number of your pediatrician along with your child's health insurance information, 

Current Health Assessment From:
  • Health Assessment- You will need to upload your child's health assessment. Please be aware that you can only upload one PDF. We have strict guidelines that must be followed for child health assessments. Please read the "What are the Health Assessment Requirements" questions for more clarification on what is needed. 
  • School Age Registration Requirements: The health assessment must be completed after your child's 5th birthday. 


Payment Information:
  • Payment Method- A credit card or bank account information must be entered to complete your registration. Automatic payments will be withdrawn from your account on the first of each month. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. There is a $5 fee applied to credit card payments. ACH accounts must be verified through Sandbox. Please read the next section carefully for tips on how to verify your ACH account.
  • Once you input your Direct Debit/ACH information, you will need to wait 3-5 business days for two micro-deposits to show up in your account. These amounts will be under a dollar each. Once you receive these amounts, you will sign into Parent Portal, Settings, and click on the Verify button. You will then enter these two amounts in and your account will be verified, if successful.   • ** Please do not guess the verification amounts. If you enter the incorrect information 10 times, the payment method will be locked and you will need to delete the payment method and restart the process.
  • ** If you do not receive your micro deposits within 3-5 business days, please contact your bank and advise them of this verification process. On occasion, banks will flag these micro-deposits as Suspicious Activity and prevent the deposits from going through.
  • ** If you cannot find your micro deposits, you will need to delete the payment method and restart the process.


HOW SOON AFTER I REGISTER CAN MY CHILD START?

It takes approximately 5-7 business days to process registration paperwork. 

What are the health assessment requirements?

*Health assessments need to be signed and dated by a licensed physician.
*Patient summaries or after-visit summaries cannot replace a health assessment.
*Only one PDF can be uploaded to the portal. Please make sure all pages of the health assessment are included in one document.

School Age Requirements:
Each child is required to have a health assessment that was completed AFTER their 5th birthday. The PDE and DHS health assessment forms are the only accepted health assessments. 

IF MY KINDERGARTENER HAS A SUMMER BIRTHDAY, WHAT HEALTH ASSESSMENT SHOULD I SUBMIT?

A health assessment that was completed after a child's 5th birthday is required for Stepping Stones School Age records. If your child has a summer birthday, submit the most current health assessment and send an updated record after their birthday.

How is Tuition Billed?

Tuition is billed monthly. The prices that are listed are monthly rates unless otherwise indicated.
School Age Summer Camp prices are listed at a weekly rate.

WHERE CAN I FIND THE COST OF TUITION?

Tuition rates can be found on our website under the "Registration and Forms" tab.

Does my child need to have a set schedule?

A two day weekly minimum is required for enrollment. Days are required to stay consistent throughout the month.

Infant-PreK programs: Two days a week must be Tuesdays and Thursday. Three days a week must be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

School Age Programs: An "as needed" option is available . 

WHAT IS "AS NEEDED"?

"AS NEEDED" care is provided on a daily need; if space is available. Prior notification and approval is needed before attending. This option is only available for the School Age programs. 

CAN I CHANGE MY Child's SEt SCHEDULED days?

Change in days of care can be accommodated if space is available. A two week notice is required for change in billing. 

Can I register if I do not know my Kindergartener's placement for the district yet?

Register using the program that you requested for the district. We will make accommodations for any changes to your child's placement. Please make sure to let us know as soon as the change is made.

WHen is the Center open?

The Main Center location is open from 7:30am until 6:00pm.

WHAT DOES TUITION INCLUDE?

Tuition includes breakfast and snack for children over a year of age. Parents provide a lunch.

ARE THERE ANY ALLERGY RESTRICTOINS?

There are no restrictions due to allergies at this time.

How long do the programs run?

The Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs operate year-round. Registration for each program is also year-round but based on availability.

What are Stepping Stones' COVID policies?

Stepping Stones follows the current CDC, ECE, and Allegheny County Health Department guidelines to ensure the safety of the children and staff.  

WHAT PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED?

We offer three different programs at our school age sites. A before school program that provides care from 7:00 am to the start of the school day, a kindergarten program that offers care for the other half of the kindergarten day and an after school program from the end of the school day to 6:00 pm. 

What are the hours the programs are open?

All Pine Richland School Age sites are open from 7:00am-6:00pm.

CAN MY KINDERGARTENER RIDE THE BUS TO AND FROM STEPPING STONES?

No. Pine-Richland Kindergarteners are able to ride the bus one way that coordinates with their Pine-Richland Kindergarten classroom placement. 

WHAT MEALS ARE PROVIDED?

Children enrolled in the before school and kindergarten program can purchase breakfast/lunch from the school cafeteria. Snacks are provided for the after school program.

What are Stepping Stones' COVID policies?

Stepping Stones follows the current CDC, ECE, and Allegheny County Health Department guidelines to ensure the safety of the children and staff.

Yes. Seneca Valley Kindergarteners are able to ride the bus both to and from school.
